Since 2019, she has been a member of a Flemish commission within the Department of Environment (Departement Omgeving), where she evaluates organisations for short-term and structural subsidies. This experience has enriched her consultancy work, where she advises clients on funding opportunities and financial security. As a writer and consultant, she has written and advised on grant applications for several artists and organisations, including Horst Arts & Music Festival, Alice Van de Wielen-Honickx, and many others.
Her expertise extends beyond subsidies to identifying other financial opportunities, performance spaces and residency options, both national and internationally. For internationally renowned artist Aaron Fowler, she helped develop the actualisation of his work in preparation for his 2025 exhibition at Anton Kern Gallery in New York. Since 2026, she has worked as an agent for Surinamese Rotterdam-based DJ Deborah X and Mexican artist Andrea Rodel.
In her consultancy, Coco Candido uses dreams and visualizations. It’s not about chasing success, but redefining what success means to the artist themselves. Drawing on human design and astrology knowledge, but primarily focussing on her ability to see beyond what is visible. Capturing all the beauty and value that is surrounding her clients, and making it tangible for them. ‘I have always been a dreamer. And transforming dreams into reality is my favourite part of the human experience.’
